
Dr. Botros Shenoda
Botros Shenoda, MD, PhD, MSc, is a physician-scientist, board-certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He earned his PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology from Drexel University College of Medicine, following his MD and master’s in neuropharmacology from Assiut University, Egypt. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine and Jefferson Abington Hospital, where he received numerous clinical and research awards. He practices primary care and hospital medicine while contributing to clinical research on pain and inflammation. His research portfolio encompasses many peer-reviewed publications and presentations in leading journals such as FASEB, Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, and the Journal of Pain. His work focuses on the molecular regulation of pain and inflammation. Beyond research, Dr. Shenoda taught molecular pharmacology, physiology and drug discovery, and contributed to many clinical trials. He held many academic and faculty positions at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kean University.
